How EstateGrid Works

EstateGrid is a free service for survivors after a death. It provides clear, easy-to-follow guidance for every step in resolving an estate.

An estate is the sum of everything the decedent owed and owned. Regardless of the amount of material possessions, every single person dies with an estate, even if it is only modest belongings. EstateGrid uses a broader definition that encompasses every issue to resolve, even of a non-financial nature. Examples include recurring obligations, pet care, digital items, etc.

You can start with one simple step: Register here to create a secure, free account.

After that, you’ll be asked to enter some information about the decedent, most of which can be found on the death certificate. And then, you’ll answer a few basic questions. It’s okay if you don’t have all the needed information or documents right now; EstateGrid will help you figure out what you need and where to find it.

Once an account is created and the basic questions are answered, EstateGrid will guide you at your own pace through the process of resolving the estate and provide an intuitive dashboard so you can monitor your progress along the way.

When you have questions along the way, help is always an email away. Let’s get started.
